Been applying like crazy (can't seem to find much in my actual field), but still apply for everything I feel applicable for.   I have been a web developer for 3 years (before that I worked as an electrician, screen printer, and computer/it repair tech) and just want to find something local in web development or IT.   I have talked to a staffing agency and applied for what I find.   Contact FGP if you haven't already. Also check out www.ultimatesoftware.com Sometimes they have open positions for remote developers.
