My engine is knocking, need engine rebuild recommendations? I am sorry if asking this is wrong here, but I'd try it out anyways. My 2003 Corolla started knocking the other day and it's getting worse. Took it to a buddy's shop and he said I need a new engine. I have been looking around and can buy a good one for $1500 shipped + install, but that's too much for me right now. If I didn't have to get my bathroom repaired (shower and tub were leaking, had to remodel it all), I would jump on that right away. But right now, I am looking into getting the engine rebuilt and was wondering if you guys know anyone that is reliable enough to do this for me. I live the zip code 77083. Thanks!

I have a buddy that used to go to Jay at Upland Auto a few years back when they were off of Upland Dr. He took his cars there for 10 years before the shop moved up to Westheimer and was always pleased with the work and value. I can't personally vouch for them, but they may be a good starting point on price quotes. Website [here](http://www.uplandautoinc.com/). Good luck.
