  Most scenic golf? Best bang for the buck? Hello New Zealanders. I hope hoping to get tips on good golf courses for a cheap tourist. I've searched but haven't found many posts about it. I'm not good enough (~20 handicap) to really take advantage of an amazing course, so I don't need exceptionally fancy courses. I was hoping to keep it under $200 for a round+club rental. That knocks Kauri Cliffs out of the equation. I'll be traveling about both islands, mostly the South Island. The Queenstown golf course seems decent, and seems to have great views. And green fee + club rental is only $95! Any other suggestions? Thanks for your time!

  In the North Island the Chateau Tongaririo Golf course. It's only a 9 hole but it's $10 per round, $10 club hire and $2 per ball. Spactacular scenery, especially on clear days. http://www.chateau.co.nz/public-9-hote-golf-course
