New Moms in Providence - Anyone done a comparison of daycares in Providence lately? Elmhurst area if possible. Wife and I are having a baby! We are starting to look at daycares now for a September delivery. Ideally it would be in the Elmhurst area so I can drop the baby off on the way to 95, or around the state house area where my wife works.
So far we are looking at a couple places right along my route to 95 and have called and are getting prices, making a list, etc. But if anyone already has a recent comparison with data that they can share we would appreciate it!
Also we would appreciate any tips/tricks when choosing a daycare.
Thanks PVD!

Any advice or suggestions about daycare, pre-k and elementary schooling in the area? Private messages welcome! Considering relocating our family to this area. Trying to find the neighborhood- thank you kindly!

Sunshine child development in quonset is one of the few 5 star bright star rated preschools in the state. I would recommend them if you need full day, or the Fishing cove public preschool (4 star rated) if you only need a half day program (it's less than half the price of sunshine and has seasoned, highly qualified staff ) I am a teacher and have worked at both locations. If you need more information on other local preschools, they are rated by brightstars.org
Family Tree is a great choice as weel.I agree do your homework and check out the BrightStars.org websire they will give you information on all childcare centers in RI.
