Moving to Ottawa, need advice on areas to look for a house close to my work I'm moving to Ottawa next month to start work at CSE offices at Blair Road and Ogilvie Road.
What are the areas near there that I look at to buy a house? And what areas should I avoid?
Ideally, I'd like to get a 3 or 4 bedroom house with a garage in the $400,000 price range, I don't know if that's realistic or not.
Also, if anyone knows a good real estate agent who specializes in that area, please recommend them!
Thanks, /r/ottawa, hoping you'll come through for me!

Blackburn Hamlet might be a decent choice. It's about a 5 minute drive from Blair and Ogilvie. According to [this site](https://davidandmarie.com/ottawa-guide/ottawa-neighbourhoods/blackburn-hamlet/), 38% of recent sales of detached homes were under $400K and for row homes they're even cheaper with 61% under $300K. There are lots of schools and parks in that area if that's your thing. [Beaconhill South](https://davidandmarie.com/ottawa-guide/ottawa-neighbourhoods/beaconhill-south/) has reasonable house prices as well with a good number of homes for the price range that you're looking for.
