  Independent design stores Hello there r/copenhagen, sorry if this is not the sort of thing posted to this sub, but I am visiting Copenhagen from NYC and am looking for good independent design stores. Although we have found lots of stores to buy interesting t-shirts, house hold items, or furniture, everything so far seems to be rather large corporations or mass manufactured design (albeit very beautiful stuff). I'm wondering if anyone can recommend particular stores or areas of the city that sell things made by up and coming designers, whether it is clothing or house hold items. Basically things that would be difficult to buy somewhere other than Copenhagen. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

  Don't know if there's any spots in particular, but maybe check out Elmegade and Jægersborggade in Nørrebro? Seems like Visit Copenhagen has some guides for both [Elmegade](http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/culture/elmegade), [Jægersborggade](http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/culture/jaegersborggade), and [Nørrebro in general](http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/culture/multicultural-norrebro). Vesterbro might have some interesting things as well, but I can't name any particular areas. Unlike is available for [Copenhagen](http://unlike.net/copenhagen) as well. I haven't used it in Copenhagen, but it might be useful.
