  Where do you get your eye exams done? Hello Grand Rapids, I am looking to go to an actual optometrist or ophthalmologist in GR instead of going to a chain like America's Best, or a rented space in Walmart or Costco. The reason I'm looking for a practice is because I believe I have a lazy eye with the condition worsening over the past few years, and it will possibly require surgery. My coworker recommended Grand Rapids Eye Care because that is where her family goes, and from my quick search of this subreddit I found a single post mentioning Family and Pediatric Eye Care. Can anyone vouch for these places or recommend another where you have been satisfied? Thanks. EDIT: Thank you everyone for all of your recommendations. I have quite a few offices to consider now.   I've been going to [Michigan St. Optical](http://www.michiganstreetoptical.com/), due to their proximity to home and they take my insurance. My eyes are relatively healthy, so I've only gone for routine exams. They do a good job of getting you in and out, yet not make you feel like a number. Definitely recommend.
