Bay Area outdoor/indoor photography classes? hi all, anyone taken any really awesome beginning photography classes? I'm looking for someone who takes SMALL groups out in the world and then hopefully also does some review/edit/critique assistance?
Does this exist in the area? My dad used to go on photo trips with an instructor but never got much help other than online courses in editing and reviewing the photos.
I used to take photography classes and spent a ton of time in a darkroom well over a decade ago...lost all my equipment after a divorce and was just gifted a new Nikon and couple lenses. So I thought it would be like riding a bike, right?
Nope. Not for me anyhow. And not with digital. I'm having a hard time enjoying it and need some basics. Hopefully I would then be able to advance with a group or class setting. But, for now I'm looking for someone good with beginners to (re)learn how to make choices on settings, etc.

http://www.apertureacademy.com Took their Natural Light Portrait Photography Workshop and it was fun and helpful with an extra instructor (in addition to the model) for the outdoor portion of the class. That being said, they have a lot of other workshops and trips that I would love to go on. I picked up the class on Groupon way back, but they offer significant discounts on Black Friday.. Also, you would get a discount at the end of your class if you signed up for another class.
