  Motorcycle unlimited does inspections, from what i remember they have two options. A free visual inspection and test ride, or an in depth inspection for $30-$40. Call them up and talk to Patrick http://www.motorcycles-unlimited.com/

  They are separate from auto places. I know there are a fair number of Harley dealerships in town so you could get a quote from them. I tend to use [Motorcycle Unlimited](http://www.motorcycles-unlimited.com/) a lot for parts and advice. They are really good people but can somewhat pricy (to be fair, I have not needed giant repairs on my bike and I do a lot of it myself). What went wrong? If it isn't too hard to do, you and your BF could do it together. I find most motorcycle maintenance not to be terribly hard.
