Looking for a knowledgeable friend to look at motorcycles with. So I'm looking at getting my first bike sometime in the next two weeks and would like someone to come along and look at the bike with me (because I know jack about bikes).
I'm located in NW Houston but we would be going where the bike is obviously. Probably hit a few dealers and a few on craigslist depending on how much daylight is left.
Id be happy to pay for gas, buy you lunch during and a beer after. I'm 24 male, college student if it matters to you.
Baring that does anyone know of a decent bike mechanic in Houston to go to for a pre-buy check up?
tldr. Come look at motorcycles with me and ill buy you some beers.

Motorcycle unlimited does inspections, from what i remember they have two options. A free visual inspection and test ride, or an in depth inspection for $30-$40. Call them up and talk to Patrick http://www.motorcycles-unlimited.com/
Motorcycle repair shop I'm a colossal idiot and I dropped my boyfriends Harley the other day.
I need recommendations for a reasonably priced, honest motorcycle repair place. I'm not sure if they are separate from auto repair places.
There are minor repairs needed and I'm not trying to spend a ton at HD.
Edit: forgot to mention, I'm in NW Houston.

They are separate from auto places. I know there are a fair number of Harley dealerships in town so you could get a quote from them. I tend to use [Motorcycle Unlimited](http://www.motorcycles-unlimited.com/) a lot for parts and advice. They are really good people but can somewhat pricy (to be fair, I have not needed giant repairs on my bike and I do a lot of it myself). What went wrong? If it isn't too hard to do, you and your BF could do it together. I find most motorcycle maintenance not to be terribly hard.
