Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
I was born in England, became a USA citizen. I loved to travel. My first trip to Morocco and many continents and numerous countries since. My cruise history includes most cruise lines and my preference is determined by many great cruises over 30 years..
Describe a typical work day for you?
I receive a call for a cruise or trip to somewhere. I find out what they have done in the past and what they would like to do now. I get enough information to get a quote of a package tour to fit my clients wishes. I they want a cruise and have not cruised before I often suggest cruise from near home, Galveston I our case, and offer them alternates. I can give them rates directly while I am talking with them and see what we need to do to get them on-board a ship. Tours usually takes me longer. Often I do some quick research on who goes where they want to go. Then I call my favorite vendor that can book this trip for me. If I have been to the place I give them my input on what I want the client to do. This gets me a quote I can give to the client land we go from there. I usually do all the paper work for my clients. I often have several trips in the planning on the same day.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
Every new trip I take fills me with enthusiasm and want to share if with clients.+
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?
Because I try to get them exactly what the want while cautioning them of any problems I see that they may encountered or places they should see but had not thought of. +
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
Planning a complicated group coming from various places going abroad that they come back thanking me for a fantastic trip.
