She has ALS, so she needs someone who 1) can do housecalls and 2) is comfortable massaging someone who's not able to get on a regular massage table or chair. The American Massage Therapy Association says not all massage therapists will work with ALS patients, but it doesn't give any guidance on how I can find one that does. Is there a local organization I could call to get a list of therapists in the city who could do it? Is there a particular company that's more likely to have someone who fits the bill? I'm trying to help my parents out by finding this service, but I don't know where to begin.
