  Recommend an attorney specializing in Family Law I am in need of an attorney specializing in family law due to a child custody battle I'm about to be involved in. About a year ago I met with an attorney who had a minimum retainer of $1500. At the time, I believed the issue could be resolved out of court. Now I realize it cannot and I need to fight for joint custody of my daughter. The attorney I met with previously has now moved to a new firm. The minimum retainer at the new firm is $2500. I really wanted to go with her because she had excellent reviews from trusted colleges. Can anyone recommend a good attorney with a more affordable retainer? I think $1500 would be doable for me. $2500 is just outside what I can afford (assuming there will be additional costs involved through the process). Thank you in advance!

  We used Vanessa a few years ago during a custody dispute. I think her retainer was $1800? Her office was incredibly nice, as was she. She really listened to us, and told us what would be worth fighting and what wouldn't (so that we didn't waste money on it.) http://www.vanessalopezlaw.com/
