I've decided to grow my hair out properly for the first time in my life and with a longer mane of hair I don't want to be visiting a barber anymore. Whereas before I'd pop into a barbers and pay £10 for a quick buzz cut I'm now in search of a professional male hair salon that will be able to help/advise me on how to style my hair rather than just lopping it off as a barber would. The only problem is with all the looking I've done I've only managed to find really high end salons that are frequented by celebrities and the upper class people of London (also £xp£nsive). I by no means fall into either category and so I'm unsure of where to look. I'd love if anyone has any experience in this and can recommend a place I could try! Cheers.

  I've been growing my hair out and go to No 74 on Compton Street in Clerkenwell where they are fantastic both with the cut and styling and with advice for care. Really nice place, never seems too busy when I'm in. The owner is a German guy with longer hair in a style similar to what I'm aiming for so I think he gets it. http://no-74.co.uk/
