  Independent Sources for Financing a Used Car in CT? Hi Everyone. I am looking to purchase a used car. I have about $5k to put down and need to finance $15-20k. I do not want to go through the dealership I will be purchasing from for financing. Can someone recommend a good credit union or financial institution that can provide financing, even if I am not a member and have poor credit? I will likely need a cosigner as well, and I have one with excellent credit. Ideally anywhere between Norwalk - Shelton - Farmington areas. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!   When I purchased my last used car, I went through AAA and they connected me with UBI in Plainville for the loan. https://www.ubifcu.com/ It was a positive experience with no problems.
