  Don't go to a dermatologist, go to a plastic surgeon. I had a lipoma on my head and the dermatologist I went to had no clue what she was doing in trying to remove it. I then saw a plastic surgeon here in Nashville and he removed it and it's hardly noticeable now. It makes sense since plastic surgeons are more likely to remove and smooth over areas of skin rather than a dermatologist. I went to Dr. Don Griffin.
