  HVAC contractor and unit for my rental recommendations. Hi. My HVAC at my rental has two leaks and has a band aid fix for now. I plan to replace the 2.5 ton 30 BTU unit this week. Does anyone have any contractor/installer recommendations? The model I've been quoted is Goodman with an install process of 4790. The unit is two story and 1495 square feet. Thank you. EDIT: the home is in southeast Huntsville and has new tenants in it as of 07/05. I use a property manager

  I was happy with the price, install and turnaround time from Air Essentials: https://www.airessentials.com/hvacinstallation-service Also, here is some info on sizing: https://asm-air.com/airconditioning/what-size-central-air-conditioner-for-my-house/ Ideally, you would want one unit for upstairs and another for downstairs, but since we are talking about a rental property (townhouse I'm assuming) a single 2.5 ton should be plenty adequate. Your tenants should see a big improvement with the electric bill too for a newer more efficient unit.
