Low back pain from weightlifting - physical therapy recommendation? I’ve been dealing with low back pain from squats/deadlifts for a while now. I’m pretty sure it’s sacroiliac joint dysfunction. My GP, of course, has no idea. I’ve visited a couple chiros and I’ve been told I have a rotated sacrum and pelvis. I’ve been trying to strengthen my glutes, core, and move with the hips instead of the low back. And I can stretch/roll on a lacrosse ball which helps significantly. But everything falls apart as soon as I load my back again.
So, it’s probably time to visit a physical therapist or another specialist. However, there’s no shortage of PTs in the Triangle. Most of them seem generic and lack helpful reviews. Does anyone here have recommendations for a good PT or other specialist? Ideally, I can find someone with SI joint/rotated pelvis experience, or a sports and fitness background.

http://holtpt.com/ Elizabeth Fortener is great. She used to be with Raleigh Ortho when I saw her about 6 years ago. Helped me with the same issue as you’re describing.

Hi, we are new to the area and looking for a good place for physical therapy. Husband had torn rotator cuff surgery last month and physical therapy is still needed for awhile yet. Thank you!
