I've seen a number of people on here commenting on great places to go for a cup around the city, so I'm hoping there's a few here who live in the area. There's not really any roasters on this side of town. New Seasons probably has the biggest selection of beans, but as a grocery store I don't think they're usually the freshest stock. Looking for 8oz or smaller. Wondering if I'll just have to settle with a subscription, but that seems a waste considering the city I'm in.

  You can by whatever was roasted for that day at [Mr. Green Beans](https://www.diycoffeeroasting.com/) by the oz. They are located over on Mississippi, and it's a fun shop to visit. I have had some great coffees from them in the past. And, it's low risk. They have a coffee cart with a couple of air pots full of brew from the beans they are selling that day for all to try for a "pay what you want" honor system price for a cup. Also, check with [Lionheart Coffee](http://www.lionheartcoffee.com/). They have a house bean roasted by Water Ave that is really good, and they can bag and sell it in different quantities if you ask nicely.
