I recently moved from NC where I saw an endocrinologist through the Duke University system. I loved that since it was a large system, I could call at any hour if needed unlike small practices. I’m currently overwhelmed looking online at endos within many healthcare systems. I live in lower Manhattan and will be working in upper Manhattan. I also have a car so I can travel outside of NYC if need be.

  You can try Weill Cornell Endocrinology. If you have medicaid/medicare you're eligible for the endo clinic on Thursdays. You'll be seen by a resident MD but you'll get the care you need. Unfortunately, it can be a bit of a wait for an appointment. Any other insurance, such as through an employer, you'll be eligible to see a specific MD as long as they take your insurance of course. I recommend Dr Kumar. She specializes in diabetes and weight loss endo. More info: https://weillcornell.org/endocrine Clinic number: 212-746-6285 (call early Thursdays!!).
