  Hi Jemima. These are all very good pointers for you. Any one of these people will be able to advise you. I'd be very happy to help clarify this for you. I own and run Kennet Design (www.kennetdesign.co.uk) - we are architectural designers and we specialise in residential projects - extensions, alterations etc. If it's just a wall you want to take out, it's unlikely that you will need our services but I am more than happy to advise you all the same.
