Tiffany M. replied:Weight lifting is actually the best way to lose overall body fat. It continues to burn fat after your done working out. Cardio burns while you are doing it but then stops. Someone above linked to Body Builder.com. They have lots of different programs you can follow with daily workouts (12 week program) that can "train" you on what to do and get you comfortable lifting at your own pace and seeing some progress. They have an app that can be used at the gym for each exercise. I used to use a trainer but it wasn't enough so I gave this a try. Good luck!
