  I had no insurance. Used this lovely subreddit to find some affordable teeth cleaning. Decided to go with [Gentle Dental](https://www.sanmarcosdental.com/promotions.html) in San Marcos. You can get x-rays, cleaning and exam for $69 flat with that promotion. Great place, very professional, they don't try to up-sell you, and the staff is very sensitive towards nervous patients. It is a drive, however. You might need to be placed on a waitlist, so have your availability for the next month or so ready.
