About us
Chelsea Photo is a cozy “feel-like-home” studio equipped with top quality lighting and conveniently decorated with respect to photographer’s needs. The studio boasts over 300 square feet of space with high ceilings and a choice of daylight or blackout shoots. We are located in the heart of Chelsea, just off the fashionable Kings Road.
Studio’s unique environment can be used for photography shoots such as portraiture, fashion, commercial and castings. It is also available for workshops. Student discount of 15% is available ( (with basic lighting option) if appropriate proof is provided.
Chelsea Photo is more than just a working space, it is a relaxed atmosphere to express fantasies and ideas , meet like-minded people and push the boundaries of your creativity.
Our facilities Include:
PROFOTO and BOWENS equipment / Zone 1 (off congestion charge)/ Free parking (advance notice required)/Black, Grey and White paper backgrounds/ White walls/Library with selection of inspirational books and fashion magazines/ Two WC facilities for men and women/ Hair & Make up area / Rails / Iron/Relaxation Sofa bed/Coffee and tea/ Central and extra heating/ Still-life setup/ Photography assistance/ Tesco and many “last-minute” useful shops just around the corner / Catering by request (from the tastiest suppliers in the area such as West London’s best homemade food cafe “Megan’s”, Fulham Broadway organic food market, Costa Express, Le Pain Quotidian and many many others )
Chelsea Photo is run by very passionate young professionals, all alumni of the University of the Arts London, some of them mentioned in LeBook 2011. The Studio can provide full production services for the shoot including make up artists, stylists, experienced photography assistants, retouching and graphic designers. Chelsea Photo is opened 24/7 and provides reasonable prices for the equipment and timing.
RATES
Hourly Rate – £30 (min 2 hours booking)
Half Day: (4 hours) – £90
6 Hours –... show more £135
Full Day: (8 hours) – £155
Overtime: 30 £ per hour
All of the prices are if shooting 3/4 length as studio paper will not be walked or damaged.
If shooting full length you will be charged £10 cash per meter before the shoot on top of these booking prices to cover background costs.
Photographers Studio Hire prices INCLUDE use of ALL the available equipment *.

- PROFOTO acute d4 head with beauty dish and any light accessory (snoot, honeycomb, zoom etc)
- PROFOTO acute generator 1200 with PROFOTO strip softbox 1 x 6 RF and 4×6
- BOWENS 1000PRO Head with BOWENS beauty dish with filters and soft reflector
- BOWENS 1000 PRO Head with BOWENS Large white softbox and umbrella
- BOWENS Gemini GM 400R Head
- 2 black and white polyboards (8 x 4’ ) / Variety of colour filters
- Turbo Wind Machine, model 999-518, Calumet Photographic
- 2 stands / Black and White backgrounds
