  I noticed you don't have overhangs. Overhangs with ventilated soffit combined with ridge vent will allow heat to escape. That combined with celing insulation should solve problem of ice build up on eve's! Also make sure to add an ice damming rider to your Homeowners Insurance.   In desperate need of someone to remove two tall trees from my yard in Derby. We had hired Tree service by John and he showed up, did half of a tree and we have not seen him since. He ripped us off. I've called him over 15 times and never heard back from him and get forwarded straight to voicemail. Real stand up of him as we have a 3mo. old baby at home and these trees pose as a very big danger to our house as well as our neighbors homes. I literally just need them cut down.
