  If you visit thrift stores like DI and Savers often enough you can find some pretty awesome things. It takes a little bit of looking and you may need to fix up some things, but it can be worth it. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "cheap", but some vintage stores are pretty cheap relative to the cool pieces they're selling.
