  Hello neighbors! I have a sad situation at hand. I took in a 5 year old rescue pony from a girl just over a year ago who said she just needed to find him a home & he needed to be gelded. I thought I was doing a good deed but turns out, he had a medical issue that she did not disclose & was discovered about 2 weeks after his arrival...summer sores on his sheath. $2000 later on the vet bill plus & 2 months of treatment & meds, I finally got it healed up. Well, a year later, he scratched his "area" again and bamn, it's back. This is a tough thing to treat due to its location & not being able to wrap it completely; must use pantyhose over it & tied around his waste. I have just spoken to my vet & we have determined that due to the amount of scar tissue from last years outbreak, he needs a circumcision along with gelding him. I clean with betadine wash daily, rub ivermectin on every other day and than apply 1 of my many meds (scratch free, nustock, and like 5 other meds) on alternating daily. Treating the problem is a daily routine around here. The problem is that he has this large mass of scar tissue dangling that needs to be removed or he will keep scratching it & making another sore start again! The circumcision surgery is being quoted at $1500 if everything goes well. I am a stay at home mom with my Husband trying to work & keep us on our feet and can't afford anymore huge expenses for this sweet little pony lawn ornament who also needs training for any child to ride him. I am out of ideas & money....Any suggestions or ideas or anyone who can help or give him a good home that can afford to take him on? P.s. already called Pure thoughts & Brad said he would talk to his partner & get back with me; no call back plus not answering or returning my calls. PLEASE HELP!!!!
