We have big red ants In the house we just moved into and it is freaking me out they are everywhere! The top of the ceiling, walls, cabinets, floors. We are very clean people and we don't leave food out or dirty dishes. In fact I know it was not from us because they were here when we we first moved in.   Bryan, Scott is very correct don't waste your money on a bug man who will just take your money knowing it's a crap shoot he will do any good.   Wow...I am glad to know we are not the only ones with ANT PROBLEMS. We had three different types including the ghost variety. The pest guys came three times and it helped for a few days, then they came back. We went to lowes and got the terro stuff ($3 for a tube) and we have finally beat the ants I do believe. If they come back, we will feed them the terro again. Tired of messing with pest companies!!!

  I've used Terro ant killer any time I've had ants. You put a dot of this stuff on paper near the ants they go to it and they're gone. Amazing stuff. I've never used a complete bottle. I've used a few drops and gave it away for others to try. It's very effective and a box at Walmart costs $5. I'd just monitor it if they're children or animals, just to keep them from getting in it. http://www.terro.com

  We have had good results using Terro. http://www.terro.com/. When you first put it out it will draw tons of them to eat the bait. Don't panic at the amount of ants you will see. They take it back to the nest and they all die. Over a few days you will see less and less.

  I agree with Lisa..........we had our pest control man spray for the ants last year......and whatever it was he used didn't kill them...............use the Terro.......it will get rid of them. And as Lisa said, you will see A LOT of ants coming to eat the stuff, but it will kill them all..........you may have to put it out more than once, because they eat it all up pretty quickly.

  lol................well, we seem to have an over abundance of the little buggers this year..............my mother puts out the Terro, plus she puts the little ant stake things outside, around the house...........but i'd have to ask her what brand those are. It may take a while to get rid of all of them......I just know, from last year, whatever the pest guy used wasn't worth the money......because it didn't work.

  Unless they're causing damage, as carpenter ants do, I would set out the Terro. Pest control companies overuse toxic chemicals which are bad for the environment and us!

  I swear by Terro. Great for indoors. It will wash away outside and you'll need to set-up again after rain. All ants can't resist. They feast, then disappear. Check Walgreen's.

  Go to your hardware store. Get "Terro ant killer. Read the instructions. Save yourself LOTS of $. If it works in the country, I'm sure it will work for you. Small bottle, lasts for years.
