Recommendation Request: Where is the cheapest place to buy lumber in Denver? DIYer here that’s sick of buying wood at the big box stores. Not a contractor I don’t know if that disqualifies me from shopping at some places but I’m having a hard time finding anything useful online about places to buy sheet and board wood in our area. I’ve been here for ten years but have always sunk to purchasing lumber at Home Depot or Lowe’s. There has to be better options. Looking to cover my garage walls and ceiling completely in the absolute dirt cheapest straight boards I can find. Thanks in advance for helping a very humble neighbor out.

I’ve seen these guys close to where I live: http://adamslumber.com/, but I’ve never bought anything from them. To be honest, when I did my basement I just bought lumber from Home Depot for the convenience of just picking up a couple of 2 x4 s or whatever. If you’re looking for cheap stuff, often they have a pile of reject lumber out back, you might be able to salvage some for pennies on the dollar.
