Earlier this week our basement flooded two days in a row, which a plumber traced back to eroding clay drainage pipes in our front yard (who knew). Apparently these pipes last 50-60 years, which lines up with the age of our house. Has anyone else had this issue before and how did you solve it? He gave us an estimate of $8K to replace the pipes, so hoping someone can recommend either a more cost-effective solution or a more cost-effective plumber. Thanks!
