  I posted last week looking for a chimney sweep. Soon it'll be time to use the fireplace again. We used ours heavily last year and didn't want to risk a chimney fire this year, so we needed someone to inspect and clean our woodstove and flue. Coopertown is the company we've used in the past, but they now are just too expensive. They actually recommended Doug Ault, who owns Abbey Road Chimney Sweep, the only other certified service. Our flue did have a lot of creosote buildup, and Doug was thorough and charged a reasonable price. (He also removes birds and critters if any get into your chimney.)
