Does anyone have any advice on caring for a horse with arthritic hocks? Any tips regarding feeding/ shoeing /supplements/ magnetic therapy etc to keep them in higher level work?

I also did accupuncture and chirop every single week for a month/ then every other week with great results. However, I personally have not seen, nor has my husband, seen near the improvement with accup as we have with arcequine. At $250 per session for accupuncture, arcequine at about $630, is far cheaper in the long run, but also a nice additive to accup.I will do accup/chirop again as soon as WEF circuit starts up.

There are several different programs to set with arcequine- healing/anxiety/etc. We have used the anxiety setting for now. My baby horse the minute he puts it on his leg, he lays down and falls asleep, it has truly taken the edge off for anxiety. My 7 yr old isn't anxious- he has "anger management" issues at times where if he doesn't like something he attacks it- strikes out at it. No bueno. He has been a DIFFERENT horse. He has also been using himself over jumps like he never has before- to the point where the photographer at shows and other trainers asked us what we were doing differently- this was in a matter of 10 days use. Seeing how he is looked at on a routine basis by some of the best vets in the world, I can only attribute this to micro tears with him, anxiety as well as any nerve pain he might have in his poll that might be difficult to sort out and fix, other then to hear from an accup- he has a sore poll "I adjusted it". For young horses they say they have anxiety just from starting training and not knowing what is expected of them- in addition to sometimes getting micro tears from beginning new work loads. Both issues we are hoping to cut off at the pass.
