  Back when i did my home haunt I had Nationwide and they would not do anything specifically to insure the haunt. My agent did not want to know anything about the haunt I was doing. Only offered to bump up my general liability insurance. Something like an extra $20 per year gained me about a half million in coverage. And that coverage was in place all year round, haunt or not. It is worthwhile at least getting the max amount of general liability for your homeowners policy. I'm pretty sure though that you can also now get specific home haunt insurance.
