Not a ton of retail shopping, but some very interesting sights in the area. Another favorite of mine is [San Ysidro Ranch](https://www.lhw.com/hotel/San-Ysidro-Ranch-Santa-Barbara-CA) in Santa Barbara. I’m not sure if it would be considered warm enough in December - but definitely warmer than Canada! :)
