Find an agent down here then transfer to another company when I move there? Find a place in the north? Whenever I need something covered they say they don't cover it which makes me feel like I'm wasting my money paying for insurance. My agent only speaks Hebrew which makes it difficult to understand too...Can anyone here recommend a company that has an excellent agent who speaks English fluently? Or how necessary do you think it is to have private medical insurance in the first place if I already have Maccabi zahav? Any advice is appreciated :)

  Extremely necessary to have the correct private medical insurance. I strongly recommend using Errol Melman - a South African in Jerusalem - but it is irrelevant where he is - have not lived in Jerusalem for more than 20 years and have used him continuously for all my insurance needs - including cars and have had my share of claims.
