  Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy engagement rings? Hello fellow Austinites. I just moved to Austin about a year ago and am looking for a jewelry store to purchase an engagement ring for my girlfriend and was hoping for some recommendations. I normally google for reviews but was burned when I signed my lease as 5 of the 6 reviews were people that worked in the office and don't want to get burned for something like this. Thanks for the help. **Edit** thanks everyone for your help. I wrote all of these down and will try to go to as many as I can this weekend to try and find the perfect ring.

  My friend's husband had a custom ring made at [C. Kirk Root Designs](http://www.kirkrootdesigns.com/) in the Arboretum. I don't have personal experience there, though. My engagement/wedding bands are from Americus and I am constantly getting compliments on them so it's a shame they are now out of business. I now get my cleanings/setting checks done at [Benold's](http://www.benolds.com/) on Anderson Ln. They were also the ones who resized my bands. I hesitate to go to Diamonds Direct because I loathe hearing their commercials every other minute on every radio station. I know it's a dumb reason to boycott a business but seriously...
