The two I visited had me not wanting to go back. They dont have a lot materials like mulch or hardware, and it took 10 minutes to get someone to talk to me, which didnt help much since they seemed to have limited English. I dont mind trying to figure out the language barrier with signs and drawings (or if they speak spanish I can do that) but just didnt feel like the keepers cared much for my business at these spots. Anybody know any good Nurseries with variety of material and staff that can help with some questions?

  A lot of the smaller nursery that are often tucked away in places (often in land under power lines or flood plane areas) cater mostly to wholesale purchases, which might explain your experience. Green Thumb Nursery in Lake Forest is our favorite: https://www.greenthumb.com/green-thumb-nursery-lake-forest-location/ Technically this is just on the other side of the Orange County Line, but Blue Hills Nursery is very nice, though their selection is somewhat limited depending on what you are look for.
