Looking for a good vet for my cats Am wondering if someone can recommend a good vet for my cats that doesn't charge an arm and a leg? I worked in a vet clinic for a summer when I was in college so know how much "upselling" can be involved and how subjective some of the fees can be. Really just looking for a good clinic where I can fully trust their recommendations on what tests are needed.

[Oakpark Pet Hospital](https://www.oakparkpethospital.com/) is amazing. They have excellent services and do their surgeries on site so it's less stress on you and your pet. My cat needed major dental work and their skill was amazing. Healed up great and their after care was excellent. Always happy to take questions when I wasn't sure about something. Oakville is lucky to have many good vets.

I go to the Animal Hospital of Oakville. They have earned my trust 100 fold. They aren't after your money, they want to actually solve problems. They are super caring, extremely reasonable. They are at 234 South Service Rd, right off Trafalgar/QEW by the holiday in.

Just pick the vet that will put you and your pet first. And then pick a pet insurance company that does the same. It will help you in the long run... I know from my own experience. My pugs are in the best care at the Animal hospital of Oakville on the south service road by Trafalgar and having the insurance doesn’t make me question any costs that they need for vet care
