Buyer beware ! If you hire Roy's be prepared for whatever bad experience is possible. The people they use evidently are not liscenced master plumbers. The person who they sent to repair/replace leaking waste pipe beneath the kitchen sink rook 2 days to complete. Now in hindsight I realize how the scam works. First the guy take every part movable apart. Then he needs to travel to Home Depot 2 to 3 times to purchase simple parts that any reputable plumber would have on hand. These delays help increase the hours , supposedly on the job. Eventually, once the tab is run up to the companies satisfaction, the guy completes the task and calls the office to report the ridiculous time and details to, in this case , Paula. Then she delivers the bad news that this took 2 days and your bill is .... Now comes your complaints and negotiating if so please to haggle. Also the repair guy spent time talking on his phone, going back and forth to his unmarked van and coming back empty hand. He on 2 occasions called someone and asked for a reciprocating saw to be delivered to him. This did not come promptly. By now you get the drift. They all in the company were in on the scam. Eventually I bargain the price down to a less extortous price that still was over the top considering the wasted time, poor diagnosis, work breaks, etc. I live in the Northside community and when possible I preferred using local minority owned service providers. But this problem raises some doubt about dedication. Therefore , I will seriously look inside and outside my community for services. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. To others who believed as I did be careful and shop around. Get upfront info on qualifications of providers, ask question, etc. It appears that those you try to patronize because of commonalities are the ones who will attempt to " rip you off". I cannot in good faith and will not recommend Roy's Plumbing to anyone.
