Is Charleston ‘ferret friendly’? Hello Charleston! Appreciate all the tips/info in the moving in guides and previous posts. I’ve done a fair amount of research on here and general internet research, but haven’t gotten a good sense on how “ferret friendly” Charleston is, other than they are sold at Petco/Petsmart, apparently? I know they aren’t super common pets- we’re used to having to give long explanations to potential landlords and researching experienced vets. Just trying to gauge how aware people in Charleston are of ferrets as pets. Additional bonuses, would love to hear/get advice from current ferret owners in Charleston! Especially if you have a vet recommendation, always on the search for those.

I can tell you that I'm sure the [Exotic Vet in mount pleasant](https://www.birdsandexotics.com/) would have no issue with a Ferret. He's a really nice guy too. As for landlords, to my knowledge they're not required by the city or county to take any Ferret classes before they're allowed to rent a home... I don't really know how else a city could be "ferret friendly" or not.
