Thread, fabric, tools, you name it!? After some practice I plan to start with some easy curtain panels based on the current ones, just in a new color scheme. Not sure where to even look to find one. I imagine it would be less than ideal to shop for fabric online without being able to really see and touch it in person. Is Joanns really the best resource or is there a great alternative im overlooking? I feel like the Joanne near me is more of a craft store that I don't frequent. Thanks for your info!

I’ve been purchasing from them since they were the Atlanta Thread Co, you won’t find better prices anywhere else. Their customer service is great, and at least where I am standard shipping arrives the next day- can’t recommend them highly enough!

dwarfcitrus replied:Are you in the US? If so, I recommend wawak.com for thread. You can get spools or larger cones, though the cones don’t come in as many colors as the smaller spools. I’m partial to the Gutermann polyester thread (different Tex/weights depending upon need) or Mettler for most general sewing projects, but for specific projects like quilts, many people like Aurifil.

Sewshableme replied:Wawak.com you want standard sewing size... tex 30. They have an assortment of Coats but they the spools are only 125 yards. You'll probably want to order either the Gutterman or Metrosene. You order by the spool, by color. There is a price break over a certain number of spools. Their price is good.
