Good dentist recommendations Next year I have the fun task of treating myself to braces. Thought I'd ask and see if anyone has any recommendations on where to go (or, just as importantly where not to go) as the only thing Houston has more of than Dentists is mattress stores.

for dentist I go to Dr. Freeman - http://www.freemancosmeticdental.com/ Really nice guy, great dentist, and they have neat machines to do crowns and such in house. I know he does invisalign, so depending on your particular needs, that might work. For orthodontist I went to https://www.drlouisanderson.com/... but that was in the 90 s, I hated going, but he was a good orthodontist back then, and I would bet he is still good. Definitely did things the right way, using new (at the time) technologies as opposed to pulling teeth like the other orthos were suggesting.
Dentist said it is time for my 12 year old to look at getting braces. Any recommendations?

We have been using Dr. Anderson, and he has done wonders with my son's bite. Caleb had a severe cross bite and has been to 2 separate orthos. (b/c we lived overseas) before Dr. Anderson. He uses the Damon System and it seems to work quite rapidly. http://www.drlouisanderson.com/
