Do it yourself listed to dave Ramsey or Suzy the credit Repair companies will ask you to stop paying for a few months then will settle your debt. Do your own research do the hard work yourself and save some money.

Jessica B. replied:
Creditrepair.com has been helping me for almost a year already. I don't hv the patience for disputing all the stuff myself and I'm so busy I don't hv the time or energy. Thy communicate constantly and keep me in the loop. Hope that helps!
Monica S. replied:
Paying for credit repair is a sham. Research how to improve and dispute credit report discrepancies yourself and put in the effort. You'll be much better off.
Kris T. replied:
Amanda Cotton Willoughby she has a credit repair business. Using rent to build credit.
Has anyone used a credit repair business to repair your credit? Do they really help get things removed off your credit? Waste of money?
Andrea H. replied:
I'm going to try this again since my last post was hijacked with unsolicited advice. Creditrepair.com works like magic. And do not apply for credit or file for bankruptcy that's bad advice.
Carl R. replied:
Only thing a credit repair scam will attempt to do is get your payoff lowered. Call the creditors you have paid off and ask them to take you off their reporting- worth a try
Julie M. replied:
Most anything a credit repair service can do, you can too!
Nita F. replied:
I'm a mortgage compliance officer and I would seriously recommend not spending your money on these services because you are paying for nothing you can't do better yourself. If your credit report is wrong you can dispute it but you have to be specific about exactly what is wrong and provide your records to dispute it. Sending a letter saying you dispute everything or you think since you are a good customer you deserve it cleaned up is worthless as it doesn't meet the requirements to be a valid dispute under the FCRA. The CFPB website gives good feedback on how to do it. But if your report is accurate then no legitimate company will remove or alter it just because you ask nicely or not so nicely or threaten anything. Companies are required to report accurately or they will be in violation of their contract with the credit bureaus and also it would be immoral to do so because all companies rely upon that to protect their businesses. If your credit is really bad then work on it by handling it responsibly as soon as possible, pay off what you can, don't let a $30 bill turn into a collection because even if you pay it, it stays on your report. There are lots of legitimate ways to improve your credit but there is no magic bullet a credit repair company can do but take money that might make a bigger impact on your score if paid on what you owe.
ISO: Someone to help me get my credit score back up!!

I'm a debt collector and i can promise you that credit repair places do more damage then good!!!
Tabitha R. replied:
Look up Dave Ramsey's and follow his advice. Pay off your debt. And do NOT go to a credit repair place.
Nastasya B. replied:
Um actually credit repair companies are very good. Get your facts straight ^
Rebecca L. replied:
Everything credit repair does is stuff she could do herself other then paying a company a ton of money for something they can't guarantee fix.
Johna S. replied:
Believe it or not you can watch videos on YouTube from people on ways to fix or rebuild credit but its cheaper than paying credit repair companies because they are so expensive. And the videos are the same steps they take
Nastasya B. replied:
Have you done credit repair for over 17 years? We take credit repair a step further that most people cannot do on their own at all. Credit repair organizations have relationships with the bureaus so we are able to work with them on a level that you cannot do as a consumer. We also go straight to the creditpr to make an aggressive approach on getting these things removed that they dont teach in "credit repair for dummies"
Dre A. replied:
Read the terms in a credit repair program. The customer gives the credit repair company permission to send letters on their behalf, all "credit repair" company's do is to continually send dispute letters on someone's behalf from things found on their credit report, since "questionable" items cannot be on someone's credit report until verified(witch usually takes up to 45 days to do so) they have to be removed. Credit repair company's do that over and over again every month and that's why they charge about $100 a month they never really fix anything all they do is exploit a loophole and as soon as you think their done those "questionable items" are back. Honestly put that money towards paying off delinquent accounts if you have them, talk to the collection agency's they want to get the delinquent amount and are willing to work with you, just ask them to remove something from your credit report as long as you keep your payments. You can use a prepaid card to pay them so they don't overdraft your account. Once those accounts are paid off then you can work on building it yourself by paying loans and credit cards on time (makes up 30% of your credit score) one of the most important things you can do! PM me for more info. I have nothing to sell
Lily B. replied:
To a creditor, credit repair companies are just as bad as bankruptcy
Johna S. replied:

La how many people you think will really take and follow that class??? Most won't even save their income tax checks!!! I'm doing it now.. Did the snowball and paid off my bills... Now I'm doing the six months of bill money.. I have 3 months done and 3 more to go!!!!! Credit repair once again is just a quick fix... I've done all of it, paid my bills, watched my credit score go up but for what I was trying to do, I needed it up there in 3 months or better...
Pat M. replied:
I don't advise paying for credit repair! It is time consuming but you can do it. Like April said sometimes it's as simple as disputing. It's very interesting and a tool that you can use the rest of your life! Knowledge is power, don't give it away!
Martin J. replied:
I'm not convinced... I've seen many many cases in the justice system of credit repair scams
Martin J. replied:
Furthermore any form of "credit repair" that does not end with a settlement of said debt, time to raise your credit score with the proper rebuilding of said credit is illegal and IF you are caught is a class 1 felony...
Hello. Has anybody here ever used any credit repair services? Specifically creditrepair.com. I was looking into it and I just wanted to hear reviews from actual people. Good company? Or are they scams? Please let me know. Thank you
