If your dog is older or a certain breed(like a lab) it can cause liver damage. We almost lost our old dog to that. I won't give it to any of my dogs now. If it was the only medicine that would work, I would insist on blood work to check liver values beforehand. Been with this vet since I got my first Husky, but it's making me want to find a different vet that cares more about the well being of the animals instead of how much money they can gouge from their customers. I bought meds from 800 Pet Meds. However, they don't offer quite the same thing in all meds. Hard tablets versus chews. When I ordered I was asked if I was sending in a Rx and I said no, got the meds anyway. I will be going back to the vet for mine just because of the chewies.
