  Here is legal aid info I could find in Richmond county-ask if they can give advice or references if they can't help! Good luck. Legal Aid of North Carolina, the statewide nonprofit law firm that provides free legal help in civil (non-criminal) cases to low-income residents, has opened a branch office in Rockingham to better serve residents of Richmond County. The office, which opened in March, is located at 225 South Hancock St., Suite E—across from the parking lot behind the old courthouse—and is staffed by two lawyers who are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents seeking legal help can visit the office without an appointment or call 910-817-7670. Spanish-language services are available. Spanish speakers who reach the office’s voicemail can enter 202 to reach a Spanish-language voicemail.
