  Squirrels in the rafters and were looking for recommendations We cracked open a rarely used window today to poke at some icicles and immediately noticed that there were little critters in our rafters. There was what looks to be nesting material poking out between the soffit grooves. At this point we can’t tell if they’ve actually gotten into the house or just inside the rafters - I don't know enough about house architecture to tell. Any insight into a reputable and affordable wildlife removal company? And a recommendation for anyone who works with soffits would be needed too.

  I priced around 10 companies and went with these guys - City Wildlife Control (905) 972-9453. Best price, were reliable, highly recommended. They put steel mesh on about 10 feet by my eavestrough with a one way door. Very steep roof about 30 feet up (had to put a ladder on my neighbours roof to access) and was below a grand (Skedaddle was more than double that but not the most expensive). They came back later on and removed the one way door. Another company which was the most expensive suggested metal drip flashing and re-doing all the eavestroughs at the same time. Would be the best option if you're going to stay. The mesh solution is not very aesthetic.
