Best Lebanese/Levantine food? My family is Lebanese and I've been searching for places where I can get the type of meals I ate growing up. A lot of the random kebab shops I've tried are "solid but not fantastic" and many don't offer much mezze (kibbeh in particular). I'm tired of only being able to get dry chicken kabobs or not-charred-enough shawarma served with good-not-great hummus. Any recommendations?
My favorite places are probably Couscous on Taylor Street and Cedar Palace in Lincoln Park. But neither is super convenient, and I feel like there are probably better options out there. Istanbul Cafe is very good and often fills the itch but it's obviously Turkish, not Lebanese.

If you are ever up in Waukegan, check out [Papa Marco’s](http://papamarcosrestaurant.com/home). One of the better Lebanese kabob shops I’ve been to.
