In that thread, Veniero’s was the favorite, and I respectfully disagree. I found theirs too mushy. My current NYC fave is Orwashers. I also like Carlo’s, but they’re a *tad* too sweet for me. Best I’ve had was actually from a random deli-bakery in Ramsey, NJ called Lotito’s, so I’ll take any NJ recs if you have them too. (Prefer NYC though.) I haven’t been to Ferrara, so that’s my next stop unless you have other recommendations!

  [La Delice](http://www.ladelicepastry.com/) is fantastic, very old school Italian bakery with amazing rainbow cookies, among other things. The smell inside the store alone is worth a visit
