  Minor mom complaint. To make insurance happy, we must visit our primary care to get a referral to the therapist. The therapist then screens for what kind of therapy. For speech therapy, we must then return to our primary care armed with the exact speech therapy needed for a detailed referral back to the therapist, since the primary care isn't a therapist and doesn't know what needs work the most. Then we return to the therapist. By the way, this practice is not only required for coverage, but specifically prohibited. Good heavens.
