Anybody have a line on a piano tuner who's available today, tomorrow or Saturday morning? We have a 100 year old upright that needs some tightening up before our Christmas Carol Caterwaul this weekend.
Robert L. replied:
Try Denis Wilkerson. He was our tuner, and was also a musician in the 2008 Northlands Revels show! Great guy and an excellent technician. http://wilkinsonpianoservice.com
We just bought a small upright piano (yay!). Once we get it moved, it'll need tuned and a few of the hammers will need repaired. Any recommendations on a service person in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area?
Will F. replied:
Jim works at Marylhurst invoice faculty.contact Justin for his phone number. Or look up Denis Wilkinson at wilkinsonpianoservice.com. both are great guys.
We have a piano that needs some repair - New pads at least, probably more. Any suggestions?
Phyllis L. replied:
Denis Wilkinson is excellent at both repair and tuning (and he's a nice guy), phone 503-246-3337. We've been using him for over 20 years. He's also skilled with player pianos. I would highly recommend him!
