  Looking for recommendations for excellent local area family counselor/therapist that is good at helping with families with a strong willed child and how to deal with said child through positive strategies. We are currently at the point where all that seems effective is yelling and then that doesn't seem to get the point across either. We have several children and its beginning to effect the whole mood in the home. We don't know if we are dealing with some sort of ADD/ADHD issue or mental problem. The attitude issues are affecting schoolwork, testing poorly and constant fights and meltdowns about homework and studying. Child in question is of 8-9 year old range and should be really past the melting stage when gets frustrated. Any recommendations would be welcome, especially if they helped you in similar situation. We are tricare so would be helpful if covered by that too...thanks for your help!
